Using Your Infrared Burner For Perfect Steaks

Basic Infrared Grilling

  1. Purchase a fresh steak, or thaw your frozen one, pat it dry, marinate or rub your steak with your faves, and allow it to come to room temperature before grilling.
  2. Preheat the infrared burner for 1 minute to medium-high (you shouldn’t be able to hold your hand 3 inches from the grid for more than 1 or 2 seconds).
  3. Place seasoned steak directly on grid (lid up or down) over direct heat.
  4. Wait 2 minutes, then turn steak with tongs.
  5. Wait another 2 minutes. Turn off the burner.
  6. Dress your baked potato while your steak rests for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Enjoy your perfect medium-rare steak.
