Eggs Benedict Burgers are a delicious way to celebrate #NationalHamburgerDay. They’re the biggest, gooiest, and tastiest hamburgers you will ever eat! Combining the best breakfast food on earth with a scrumptious beef burger patty is possibly the best thing you will ever eat. Originally made in February of 2014, these burgers are among the most requested when hamburgers are on the menu. A word of advice though, serve these with a bib. You’re going to need it.

Han Burgers

With Falcon Fries

May the Fourth. Also known as Star Wars Day, is a day that needs to be celebrated. How does the best grills manufacturer in the world celebrate? By making Han Burgers of course. Modeled after the classic “smash burger”, these Han Burgers resemble our favorite scruffy looking nerfherder and stay together about as well as the Millennium Falcon. They will make it from the grill to your stomach in less than 12 parsecs, we promise.

Duck Burritos

Duck Burritos

Inspired by Finger Food From The BBQ & Grill by Andreas Rummel

Posted on April 02, 2018

Duck Burritos are a delightful Asian inspired appetizer that I found in our Finger Food from the BBQ and Grill cookbook. After thoroughly enjoying the homemade Peking Duck, this simplified version just leaped right off the page (and into our mouths!). Perfect for getting the tummies in the mood for a great meal. Plus, they’re pretty portable so the party can easily continue.

Classic Beef Sliders are a delicious and fun way to eat hamburgers. Pile them high with your favorite toppings, try new flavor combinations, and like potato chips, you can’t have just one. Use Napoleon’s Gourmet Slider Maker to press your own perfectly proportioned patty. For added deliciousness, don’t forget to brush the buns with butter and grill them up nice and toasty before serving.

Lamb & Beef BBQ Gyros

Lamb & Beef BBQ Gyros

a little taste of Greece

Posted on August 29, 2017

Lamb & Beef BBQ Gyros is a recipe that I have been itching to try for a while. I’ve seen the gigantic spinning cones of meat at Greek food stands, tasted the succulent meat sliced from the still spinning spit, served with feta and fresh tzatziki on a pillowy steamed pita. I wanted desperately to recreate this on my grill. Flavor wise, this recipe is a huge success. Unfortunately, the meat did not want to stay on the spit, and I wound up roasting it instead. Don’t let that deter you. When you taste that first morsel, you’ll be very pleased.

*PRO TIP – save the drippings from your gyro meat for making gravy later. It’s full bodied and will give gravy a depth of flavor that bacon or butter won’t provide.

Steak Quesadillas

Steak Quesadillas

with Fresh Guacamole

Posted on August 17, 2017

I thought this recipe could use an update. Originally made for an office lunch and learn in 2011, I have been making these steak quesadillas for a while. They're delicious and quick and I have been making them as a quick snack for dinner (in smaller portions) for ages now. Once you know how to grill a steak to perfection using your SIZZLE ZONE™ side burner, it's a piece of cake. Use the Napoleon BBQ Pizza Spatula to make moving those large tortillas around the grill super easy too!

Smoked Pulled Pork

Smoked Pulled Pork

Kansas City Style with a Canadian Twist

Posted on July 18, 2017
Smoked Pulled Pork is the ultimate summer party food. Soaked in sweet and spicy sauce, served on a bun, stuffed into a roasted potato (regular or sweet), and eaten with your closest friends and family, there is no doubt that summer is incomplete without making some smoked pulled pork. This recipe is KansasCity Style, with a bit of a Canadian Twist. I served this to my neighborhood when we had a block party to celebrate summer. It was the perfect porcine potluck provision to share.

If you are making the pork ahead of time or to freeze for later, you can skip adding the sauce to the shredded pork. If packaging for the freezer, instead of serving it all at once, make sure that you freeze it for maximum freshness by following the directions in this blog post. I generally pack 1 lb. at a time; that will feed about four when reheated.

Smoked Sirloin Sandwiches

Smoked Sirloin Sandwiches

with Club House La Grille Southern Style BBQ Seasoning & Montreal Steak Spice

Posted on June 27, 2017
Smoked Sirloin Sandwiches are ideal for a unique 4th of July, or Canada Day main course. They’re easy to make, incredibly flavorful, and definitely not just another burger! (Though we do have some pretty good ones!) These sandwiches are perfect, topped with Spicy Alabama White Sauce, piled high with perfectly tender sliced beef. You don’t need to do much with this recipe once it’s on the grill, especially if you have a Wireless Digital Thermometer like this one. That means you have plenty of time to decorate or relax. When serving, remember to pick a bun with a slightly crusty exterior, and pillowy soft interior. Potato salad and Coleslaw are the sides of choice to go along with this delightful delicacy.

Better Butter Burger

Better Butter Burger

Butter makes things even better

Posted on May 25, 2017

I originally made the Better Butter Burger in March of 2011 after watching Chef Ted Reader create these masterful morsels of magnificence at a Cottage Life Show demo. The Better Butter Burger harkens back to the day when hamburger patties were fried in butter on a hot griddle, and buns were brushed with butter before being toasted or grilled too. In celebration of National Hamburger Day, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit this recipe. Taking hamburgers to the next level and infusing them with delicious butter.
