Mushroom And Onion Bison Steaks

Mushroom And Onion Bison Steaks

With Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes

Posted on August 18, 2015
I wanted to make something special for my friend who came to visit our house. So we went to the farmer's market downtown for some special food. We found bison at one booth, and all of the fresh produce at the others. I even got a basket of peaches that are totally blowing my mind right now. For dinner we made Mushroom And Onion Bison Steaks With Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes. Everything came from the farmer's market. It was glorious.

Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon

Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon

With Sweet Potato Fries

Posted on August 11, 2015
An elegant meal that is perfect for your next special occasion, Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon With Sweet Potato Fries was tender and delicious. The first official meal that I grilled at our new house, I thought it was about time to celebrate. It also happens to be Filet Mignon Day on August 13th - hey my lucky number! Sure you can just grill up a filet and be done with it, but I wanted to do something a little bit special. When you go to the butcher, ask for the cut you like the look of best, thickness and color is important. Then season up those beauties on all sides before wrapping with bacon and a secret ingredient.

How To Grill Corn On The Cob

How To Grill Corn On The Cob

In The Husk

Posted on August 10, 2015
So I've never done this, and my kitchen wasn't quite ready when we moved in. So we didn't exactly have a stove to even boil a pot of water. I needed another way to cook the side dish for dinner, my Bacon Wrapped Fillet Mignon, How To Grill Corn On The Cob was the first thing I searched online. I mean sure I could do the foil wrapped corn (Recipe Club August 2014), but I didn't want to cover the taste of the sweetest sweet corn, which would pair beautifully with the beef and bacon. So this is what you do:

Vegetable Tempura On The Grill

Vegetable Tempura On The Grill

With Fresh Dipping Sauce

Posted on August 05, 2015
After making tempura battered onion rings for the Asian Tenderloin recipe, I needed to find out what else I could tempura-ize. Vegetable Tempura On The Grill was easier than you would think and super fun to serve with dinner. We ate this with Salmon Teriyaki for a complete meal and it was an amazing Asian themed dinner off the grill.

Roasted Sweet Potato

Roasted Sweet Potato

Stuffed With Saucy Pork

Posted on July 15, 2015
I get left to my own devices on most Friday nights. It's my "me time" so I don't really mind. The only problem is that I never know what to make for dinner. Well, this particular Friday wasn't much different. But that was when I noticed some leftover Apple Cider SpareRibs in the fridge. That's how I came up with Roasted Sweet Potato Stuffed With Saucy Pork. I fired up the grill to make a baked sweet potato, then when the potato was nearly done, tossed the meat from those ribs into my grill wok with some Cattle BoyZ Chipotle Maple Bacon BBQ Sauce, and shortly thereafter I had a delicious and pretty healthy meal.

Strawberry season is a magical time of year when the ripe, fresh berries fill many a basket with their sweet scent. I still suggest that it should be a holiday, but failing that, celebrate the strawberry with me by making this amazing homemade Grilled Strawberry Ice Cream. It's super easy, there's no ice cream maker required at all, and everyone will LOVE it.

Goat Cheese Pasta

Goat Cheese Pasta

With Bacon And Grilled Asparagus

Posted on July 07, 2015
Left to my own devices one evening, I had nothing planned for dinner,  and nothing but scraps in the fridge. It sounds like I never have any groceries, I swear I do! Anyway, that is where this all started. Goat Cheese Pasta With Bacon And Grilled Asparagus is a conglomeration of my craving that evening, and what I happened to have left over after making Stuffed Bison Burgers and Goat Cheese Vanilla Ice Cream. I love grilled asparagus, and I love bacon, so adding the two of them to a creamy pasta sauce was a no brainer. I hope you enjoy this easy and pretty quick gourmet meal as much as I did.

Rustic Strawberry Pie

Rustic Strawberry Pie

On The Pizza Stone

Posted on July 02, 2015
It's strawberry season and I'm over the whole Strawberry Shortcake thing, so I decided to make a Rustic Strawberry Pie on my Pizza Stone, and boy was it ever delicious! In fact these awesome strawberry recipes over the past week have been so amazing, even my picky husband is enjoying them, and he doesn't like strawberries - only because of the seeds - so that's saying something. The pastry for this recipe is super easy and I will be making it again for other pies. Just remember that it needs to chill for an hour before use.

Strawberry Quesadillas

Strawberry Quesadillas

With Cheesecake Ice Cream

Posted on June 30, 2015
It's strawberry season. I guess that's my favorite holiday. YES it should be a holiday. And there should be holiday dedicated to bacon, and one for cheesecake too. But I digress. These Strawberry Quesadillas With Cheesecake Ice Cream are insane. And by insane we have blow your mind, melt your brain, oh my gosh that's delicious, and what the heck was she thinking all wrapped up in a delicious tortilla, then tossed on the grill with fresh chocolate STUFF (somewhere between a sauce, and a ganache and a chocolate shell), and all of the strawberries. Oh yeah, then we topped it with HOMEMADE cheesecake ice cream.

Cheesy Baked Onion Rings

Cheesy Baked Onion Rings

Rings Of Awesome More Like It

Posted on June 23, 2015
For those times when you want onion rings but you can't wait for those awesome Smoke Rings, bake yourself some Cheesy Baked Onion Rings. I love the sharp onion-y flavor and opted to go with a white onion, but it's all about preference, sweet vidalia onions are good too. But really it's all about that crunchy baked outside. Using crushed crackers instead of bread crumbs or panko really make these things pop-able. And don't forget to finish it all off with your favorite dipping sauce. You could carry the theme and do a blue cheese dip, but I loved the sweet and savory of the Shōchū sauce.
