Parmesan Crusted Mashed Potatoes are creamy, crunchy and have a slightly spicy kick that can’t be beat! The parmesan cheese adds the perfect notes of cheesiness to the whole dish making these mashed potatoes shine.

I was surprised when serving this for dinner. When I scooped them out (the sides and bottom of the potatoes) the ones touching the sides of the dish, had crisp-i-fied too while they cooked! YUM. I love crispy mashed potatoes. Don’t you?

Irish Potato Farl is a quick, flat bread made with leftover mashed potatoes. Sometimes just fried up and eaten with butter as a snack, it is also served with a full Irish breakfast called an Ulster Fry, along with baked beans, tomatoes, sausage, bacon, black and white pudding.

Funnily enough, I never tried to make this because I was afraid I would mess it up. I had an Irish great grandmother who would make it by hand for the family, then my wonderful grandmother started making it too, but it always seemed to be magical and secret. Until I finally learned that my grandmother at least was using the food processor. So I decided that this St. Patrick’s Day I should grill some up.

Feeling a little bored with plain old pork roasts, I jazzed things up by adding a little sunshine. Actually I used oranges and lemon pepper, but the effect was the same. Every year for the past four years I make hot sauce for Christmas gifts. This year, I was actually grilling and making the sauce on Christmas Eve! Just like in the past, I used fresh ingredients to create a boisterous sauce loaded with flavor and heat that the recipients just love. This Five Pepper Hot Sauce Recipe is another on my list of Hot Sauce recipes. This one is spiced with garlic, curry, and five different peppers to give you that wallop. This sauce is as flavorful as it is hot, with a smoky sweetness hidden in there too.

A few weeks back I made Glazed Duck With Spicy Fried Rice for dinner. There's something about this Asian-inspired meal that marries the delicious spice of the rice with a sweet glaze on the duck for a meal that covers all of the bases. The rice is full of veggies so you don’t necessarily need to make more.  Although the more veg the merrier!  This is a very filling meal – one duck breast will feed you well.

I've been trying to find ways to sneak avocados into more food. They're super good for you, but there is just something about the green mushy thing that I can't figure out. They're also like bananas, unripe forever, then you have a day or so of perfection, then suddenly they're gross! Just got to get into the avocado groove I guess. Anyway, I had such success with the awesome, creamy, and delightful Thai Chilli Guacamole, that when my co-worker and fellow foodie was telling about this incredible guac he made, I just had to try it. Since then I have made Fully Loaded Guacamole about 4 more times.

This Sweet Potato Flower is as pretty to look at as it is tasty. A little fiddly to make, but well worth it when people are in awe of your grilling prowess. I thought of this recipe because I already had mashed potatoes and mashed turnip on the menu for Thanksgiving dinner. I just couldn't do another mashed dish. Instead I created something that was both visually stunning and pretty dang tasty if you happen to enjoy sweet potato.
