Pulled Pork Carnitas

Pulled Pork Carnitas

With Garlic-Dill Sour Cream

Posted on August 19, 2013
What a super tasty take on a Mexican classic. I love my meat, and after making that Pulled Pork for the first time, I think that it's one of my favourites. That and the Maple Bacon Ribs. But I would love some other ideas on what to do with it! What do you do with the Pulled Pork that you make?

Grilled Pork Chops

Grilled Pork Chops

With Garlic Sauce

Posted on August 19, 2013

I don’t know what to say about this recipe. It’s got a teriyaki-ish flavour, that makes me smile. If you have leftovers, tossing the pork and sauce with some veggies and throwing it into a tortilla or pita, is very good too! Use the sauce on chicken, or beef as well, but it’s best on pork.

Don’t forget that you’re working with something containing sugars. So it will burn on the grill if you’re not careful. If you find that it’s burning and not caramelizing how you would like, move the pork chops to the cool, off side of the grill to roast for 15 to 20 minutes instead.

Roasted Leg of Lamb

Roasted Leg of Lamb

With Garlic & Herbs

The lamb turned out beautifully and dinner was a delight. Lamb is a very flavourful meat with a consistency similar to beef. It’s something I definitely want to eat more of. Next time, though? I want to use the rotisserie to cook it!

Grilled Steak

Grilled Steak

With Balsamic Honey Reduction

Posted on August 12, 2013
This was a sensational gourmet meal served on weeknight time. I accidentally over-simmered the Reduction and as it cooled, it became quite solid. But fortunately I got it onto the steak and eaten up before then, it was just a mess in the pot that soaked out easily. I really enjoyed dipping the vegetables in the Reduction and steak-juice to liven them up. What gourmet meals to you make on a weeknight?

Grill Baked Egg Rolls

Grill Baked Egg Rolls

with Chicken

I am really happy with how these turned out. They were a tad on the spicy side, but if you like that, you will like these. But you can also leave the Sriracha out of the recipe too.

Recently I have done several posts using Egg Roll Wrappers. You would be surprised at how versatile they really are. What interesting things have you done with egg roll wrappers? Another strange ingredient?

Stuffed Peppers

If you’re trying to cut the carbs, this meal is fantastic and filling, you don’t really need bread or rice or potatoes with it. But I tells ya, nothing beats eating this with a thick slice of fresh bread and butter.

Pulled Pork Egg Rolls

Pulled Pork Egg Rolls

Grill Baked

Make sure you get the square egg roll wrappers and not the round wonton/dumpling wrappers, however, they would also be VERY tasty. Also. Let these cool for a little while before serving them. They just came out of a 400°F grill, they’re really really hot!

These Pulled Pork Egg Rolls are completely filling! Three each and we were stuffed. So if you’re serving them as an appetizer, be sure that you don’t give your guests too many to eat, or the main course will be too much food, if there is such a thing.

Super Stuffed Burgers

Super Stuffed Burgers

They're Full of It

Posted on July 29, 2013
Okay so these burgers are super freezer friendly. They would make a great make-ahead meal or something you can give as a gift instead of a casserole. They are super delicious and full of flavour, easy to make variations of if you’re doing a theme, and just all around handy to have.  I’m actually craving one right now as I type this!

George says that it looks like a regular well done rotisserie chicken, but tastes 5 times better. Made 2 of them with my 600 Pro grill I just purchase...

This recipe is absolutely delicious. It is a rare thing to be able to get good lamb, and you have to cook it just right or it’s so not worth it. After slicing, if you’re a little worried about the colour, even if your meat thermometer is telling you it is good, feel free to cook the sliced lamb for another minute each side on the hot side of the grill.
