Savoury Scallion And Sausage Pancakes

With Garlic Cream Dip

Ingredients:

    Garlic Cream Dip
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • ½ tsp. dill
    • 6 cloves of grill roasted garlic
    • pinch of salt and pepper
    Savoury Scallion And Sausage Pancakes
    • 1¼ cup of flour
    • 1 tsp. dill
    • 1 tsp. Bone Dust
    • ½ tbsp baking powder
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 tbsp. oil
    • 2 cups of shredded cheese, I used cheddar
    • 1 to 3 large italian sausages, cooked and crumbled fine
    • 2 scallions (green onions) chopped fine

Ingredients

Garlic Cream Dip
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp. dill
  • 6 cloves of grill roasted garlic

  • 1¼ cup of flour
  • 1 tsp. dill
  • 1 tsp. Bone Dust
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese, I used cheddar
  • 1 to 3 large italian sausages, cooked and crumbled fine
  • 2 scallions (green onions) chopped fine

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your grill to medium-low, about 300°F, have the Cast Iron or Stainless Steel Griddle preheating on it. You will be grilling with direct heat.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, dill, Bone Dust, and baking powder. Add half to ¾ of the cheese, all of the sausage, and scallions. Mix in the milk, egg and oil until you have a thick batter.
Step 3
Oil the Griddle and then drop ⅓ cup dollops of the batter onto the preheated Griddle. Cook the pancakes for 3 to 5 minutes per side, do not flip them until the first side is golden brown and bubbles have started forming on the top of the pancake. If it gets brown too quickly, turn the heat down a little.
Step 4
When the pancakes are nearly cooked through, top them with the remaining cheese.
Step 5
Serve hot topped with the Garlic Cream Dip.

Me? I totally made pancakes for every meal! Breakfast was some Sweet Wheat Pancakes with Berry Salsa (Exclusive Recipe Club Recipe, sign up to get them) and for supper I made these Savoury Scallion And Sausage Pancakes With Garlic Cream Dip! Super tasty, filled with cheese and scrumptious morsels of savoury sausage. I wanted to make a savoury pancake, I've heard of people doing it, but never attempted to do so myself.  Well this first attempt went swimmingly.
