Apple Cinnamon Pork Roast

Apple Cinnamon Pork Roast

On The Grill

Posted on October 27, 2014
When you think of fall and apple cooking, you don't generally think of something on the savory spectrum. But this Apple Cinnamon Pork Roast is all that and a bag of potato chips! The cinnamon adds a new dimension to pork's natural flavor, though the butter and apple juice doesn't hurt either. Baking a roast on the grill with sliced apples on top adds extra moisture to a meat that is sometimes found lacking as well.

Sweet Apple Cake

Sweet Apple Cake

In One Bowl

Posted on October 27, 2014
Sweet Apple Cake is a tasty dessert that has the warmth of cinnamon and the sweet fall taste of apples. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (or both, no judgement). I also used the leftover Homemade Caramel Sauce from the Apple Tart recipe as an added bonus. With apples in season right now, use this opportunity to bake with your favorite kinds of apples.

Grilled Pumpkin Granola

Grilled Pumpkin Granola

With Pecans And Maple Syrup

Posted on October 22, 2014
It's that time of year again. The time of year when everything is Pumpkin Spiced somehow. From your morning coffee to your burrito it seems. So I decided to give pumpkin a chance, and hopped on the bandwagon, making Grilled Pumpkin Granola. This granola isn't overly sweet but packs a great crunch, satisfying your morning hunger until lunch time. With all those seeds and nuts, you get a great protein punch that's also full of fibre and healthy oils. And you made it on the grill!

Smoked Leg of Pork

Smoked Leg of Pork

Sweet and Sassy

Posted on October 22, 2014
Smoked Leg of Pork is super versatile and worth the wait with your smoker. I got a real deal on a gigantic leg of pork, like this thing was 15+ pounds, and I only paid $1.00/lb or something. So there it sat in my freezer for nearly 9 months, waiting for the perfect moment to be grilled to perfection. And it was time. The air was crisp, apples came into season, and I was ready.

Planked Spicy Lime Chicken

Planked Spicy Lime Chicken

Smoky And Spicy

Posted on October 15, 2014

Seeking something different the other night, I found myself looking for a way to use the lime I had and some chicken thighs that I pulled out of the freezer. Planked Spicy Lime Chicken just kind of happened and it turned out to be very delicious. Smoky paprika and chili powder combine with the smoke from the cedar plank to create a sweet taste that is balanced out by the juicy lime sauce.

Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole

With Bacon And Sharp Cheddar

Posted on October 09, 2014

Believe it or not, I've never done a Green Bean Casserole. It's just a thing. I always bring something like homemade buns or dessert to any potluck event, unless I am doing the main dish, and someone else always shows up with something au gratin. So if you want a great tasting, creamy, cheesy, vegetable dish for your next potluck, or something amazing to serve at Thanksgiving, try this Green Bean Casserole. I mean it. Right now. Hop to it people!

Butter Injected Rotisserie Turkey

Butter Injected Rotisserie Turkey

Build Your Own Butterball

Posted on October 09, 2014

Moist turkeys are the bane of many's existence. Really, they can't cook a turkey to save their souls, not even a butterball! That's where I come in. Butter Injected Rotisserie Turkey is super easy, very tasty and just plain awesome. Prep time is nearly non-existent, and it should only take about 20 minutes per pound. Try it this Thanksgiving. You already have the stuff to make it in your pantry.

Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts

On The Grill

Posted on October 08, 2014

I've said it before and I will say it again. If you don't like brusseles sprouts, you're cookin' 'em wrong. These Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts are ridiculous. They're kind of sticky, sort of sweet, a little bit spicy, and loads of good. They are super easy to prep and have on the table.

Individual Sweet Potato Casseroles

With Cinnamon And Chili

Posted on October 08, 2014

I've seen sweet potato casserole on many thanksgiving tables, but I wanted to make myself and my guests feel special by making my own Individual Sweet Potato Casserole. I seasoned them unexpectedly with cinnamon and chili powder to give them something extra special.
