You ever go to the grocery store with no real plan in mind? You find a great deal on something like ground chicken and then realize that you have no idea what you want to do with it? I did that last week. Realized that I had this ground chicken in my freezer and it had nowhere specific to go to.
Well, there were a couple of days that were absolutely magical. 18°C or so. Sunny and just a light breeze. It was perfect burger weather. But I didn’t want honkin’ big burgers, nor did I feel like beef. And that is when it hit me like a chicken to the head. I could make Chicken Sliders! There aren’t as many recipes out there as I would like for chicken burgers, and well I didn’t exactly go seeking chicken sliders period. But I just got my hands on Ted Reader’s King of the Q’s Blue Plate BBQ! Hidden in there was an amazing recipe for Greek Chicken Burgers that I just had to work with.
The following is a record of the deliciousness that ensued.
I had just finished the photos for this when my phone rang, so I didn’t get to take a bite of these little gems until much later. Let me tell you, the flavour explosion was just incredible! I let out the loudest “MHHHHH”, and my tongue got all tingly, I think my eyes even rolled back! I am usually a ketchup and other traditional condiments kinda gal, but the feta was creamy and the tomatoes, I let them marinate a little with some salt and pepper, was soooooo nice.
