It’s a lazy Sunday kind of day. The chores were done and I had just gotten back in from a 5K walk and really didn’t feel like cooking and the hubby really didn’t want anything I suggested. Especially since we are still waking up from the meat coma due to last weekend’s smoker-fest. So we met in the middle. NACHOS! YAY! These nachos are super easy and have tonnes of room for customization. That’s why I call them “Base Model”, you can add ALL the bells and whistles, or you can leave them as is, ’cause they’re still just as good.
Now those are just the basic nachos. You can add pulled pork or chicken, steak, sausage, hotter peppers, pickles, tomatoes, and cilantro. You could grill the peppers and onion first, or you could use creamy salad dressings. You could top it with cole slaw, or make a bruschetta-tomato mix and top it with that. The options are endless!
What did you come up with? What is your favourite combination? Leave a reply in the comments below and let me know what you do with your Nachos! Better yet! Submit a recipe for your favourite nachos!
