You heard it here first folks. I have successfully barbecued banana bread!
There was a pile of ripe bananas piling up in my freezer, and they needed to be used. I make excellent banana bread with them. Or banana oatmeal muffins, but that is there not here. Today we are talking about making banana bread.
Note: Before baking, sprinkle the top with brown sugar to give it a bit of a bit of a sweet crusty topping.
You can substitute nuts for raisins, or chocolate chips or just leave the bread plain.
YES this can be done in an oven as well with very similar results.
This bread is a hit with everyone that I share it with. And if you’ve got children in the mix, they won’t even notice that you used whole wheat flour, that theres fruit in there, or that you have made it with a sugar substitute.
