Tahini Marinated Pork Chops

Tahini Marinated Pork Chops

On a bed of rice

Posted on October 01, 2015
I had these amazing thick pork chops and didn't know what to do with them. Apparently we get bored easily in the Sizzle household, because my husband was pretty "meh" about these too. But suddenly, our stomachs growled and said - Tahini Marinated Pork Chops! Okay, that didn't really happen exactly like that, but you get the idea. We suddenly had a craving for something a little bit international.

Grilled Chicken With Plum And Feta Salad

Grilled Chicken With Plum And Feta Salad

And Tatziki Dressing

Posted on September 14, 2015
Salads are fantastic. You can literally put anything you want in them. Some people like it wild and others are very reserved when it comes to filling, and dressing. But this salad will make even the most reserved rabbit turn herbivoracious. Yep. I just made a vegetarian joke that wasn't half bad. Grilled Chicken With Plum And Feta Salad And Tatziki Dressing is a mouthful. And each fork load of this super supper salad will be too. Peppery arugula, salty feta, plums so sweet you could cry, and perfectly seasoned, grilled chicken, who could ask for more? Oh wait, there IS more! The dressing? Creamy, tangy, tatziki, mixed with spices, well you will have to read the ingredients list for that part, but let's just say that adding the dressing is like adding icing to this cake.

Bison Burgers Stuffed

Bison Burgers Stuffed

With Goat Cheese And Mushrooms

Posted on June 18, 2015
I love cooking for special occasions, my family loves it too. So last family get together I made Bison Burgers Stuffed With Goat Cheese And Mushrooms. These rich burgers combined the leanest meat with the most decadent flavors of fried mushrooms and creamy, unripened goat cheese. Grandmother is insisting that I open a restaurant and serve all of the delicious things that I share with you on the blog. No. I like where I am at. I like making things and keeping a regular schedule of 9 to 5-ish. I love making delicious grilled food and learning about all things barbecue with everyone. Where was I going? Oh well.

Bison Burgers! They're so good and decadent and rich. The Napoleon Burger Press is super helpful in making these, all burgers are identically formed with the perfect divot for the cheese and mushrooms to nestle in. The burger press also takes forming time down quite a bit, and you're not handling the meat as much either.

Flourless Apple Crisp

Flourless Apple Crisp

With Cranberries And Pecans

Posted on April 07, 2015
Flourless Apple Crisp With Cranberries And Pecans is the perfect end to any meal. This recipe is gluten free if you ensure that you have procured certified gluten free oats. And the best part is that you can pretty much put any kind of oats you have in there too, steel cut, quick cooking, whole, you name it. The sweetness of the apples and the tartness of the cranberries is all you need, and this Flourless Apple Crisp makes for a light and tasty end to a good meal. Or you could eat it for breakfast.

Wilted Kale Salad

Wilted Kale Salad

With Grilled Vegetables And Homemade Dressing

Posted on March 25, 2015
I have now taught my first grilling class. I needed to prepare a program that covered as many different ways to grill in one lesson. One thing though, it had to be vegetarian. That's where Wilted Kale Salad With Grilled Vegetables And Homemade Dressing came in. Actually a bunch of things crossed my mind, but the main thing was that I wanted to come up with four different meals that incorporated the same or similar ingredients. After class I asked which was their favorite. This Wilted Kale Salad With Grilled Vegetables And Homemade Dressing was number one on the list.

Ghost Pepper Buffalo Sauce

Ghost Pepper Buffalo Sauce

Very Tasty And Hot

Posted on January 08, 2015
It's time for my annual hot sauce, and this year I made Ghost Pepper Buffalo Sauce for all those hot heads that love my cooking. It began that I was going to just make homemade Buffalo Sauce for my favorite people over the holidays, but my cousin requested that I make more of that Ghost Pepper Salsa for the family Christmas dinner. How could I refuse? It turned out that I had a few ghost peppers left over and thought... well why the heck not?

Grilled Pork Chops And Shallots

Grilled Pork Chops And Shallots

With Turmeric And Coconut Milk

Posted on December 09, 2014
I was inspired to make Grilled Pork Chops And Shallots With Turmeric And Coconut Milk when I wanted to use some leftover coconut milk after making a curry. The only problem was, what would I do with it? So I decided to take a family favorite, Chicken in Mushroom Sauce, and turn it into something similar. What we found is a delicious and healthy meal that everyone will love.

Dry Aged, Wet Rubbed NY Strip Steaks

Dry Aged, Wet Rubbed NY Strip Steaks

Grilled To Perfection

Posted on December 02, 2014
Imagine, if you will, slicing into a Dry Aged, Wet Rubbed NY Strip Steak, grilled to perfection over high heat and flame. It was rubbed in a wet rub and allowed to soak in that flavour before being kissed by flame and served over a bed of grilled asparagus.

Potato Latke

Potato Latke

Using the new Napoleon Slider Kit

Posted on December 02, 2014
I made Potato Latke using the new Napoleon Slider Kit to make the perfect sized and shaped potato pancake. They're tasty and crispy, perfect for pairing with just about anything you could imagine. We enjoyed ours with Dry Aged Wet Rubbed Steaks, but they'd be equally as good with brisket, eggs, salads, well just about anything that potatoes go with! You can serve them with a dollop of sour cream, or apple sauce on top too.
