Great Canadian Moose Burgers

Great Canadian Moose Burgers

Wth Ykon Jack Glaze

Posted on June 24, 2013
These burgers were great! They're incredibly satisfying, and the sweet of the Glaze melded well with the moose meat. You don't want to use a lean pork to do this. When you get your meat, make sure to get just regular pork, not lean or extra lean. You need the fat content to add flavour and juiciness to the end product. Sausage will do in a pinch, but don't get anything flavoured, like mild Italian.

Pork 'n' Goat Cheese Burgers

With Luther's Sheep Dip Marinade

These burgers are a delicious way to spend a meal. Everyone who tries them will be quite pleased. I recommend serving them with kettle style potato chips or you could go with some potato salad.

With Garlic Fries

I had just finished the photos for this when my phone rang, so I didn’t get to take a bite of these little gems until much later. Let me tell you, the flavour explosion was just incredible! I let out the loudest “MHHHHH”, and my tongue got all tingly, I think my eyes even rolled back! I am usually a ketchup and other traditional condiments kinda gal, but the feta was creamy and the tomatoes, I let them marinate a little with some salt and pepper, was soooooo nice.

I know it’s not really a recipe, but these were really good. I love to use leftovers in different ways. And anything to stave off monotony is a good thing right?

So, you obviously do not need the baguette if you are serving this as a side dish, but the bread does complete the meal if you are serving vegetarian. I hope you enjoy this taste of summer as much as I do.

Open-Face Grilled Steak Sandwich

Open-Face Grilled Steak Sandwich

Posted on April 03, 2012
The sandwich has a rich and varied history, as does the "open faced" sandwich. Although, without two pieces of bread, can it still be called a sandwich? That is for you to decide. All that is known is that this recipe is delicious and needs a fork and knife to eat.

Grilled Cheese Steak Sandwich

A Tradition in Philadelphia since the 1930's

Posted on December 10, 2011
This beauty of bread and meat mingling was invented around the 1930's in Philadelphia. Traditional cheeses used are Provalone, American and (shudder) Cheese Whiz. Cuts of beef used are generally rib-eye or top round.
Today we pay hommage to the majestic cheesesteak with this grilled version...All poetry and word-smithing aside, this sandwich of steak-tackular proportions is just epic, and there is plenty to go around!
