I love bread, and garlic, and cheese. This was just perfect to pair with the Goose Soup. This would also make a great crouton for French Onion Soup too. What is your favourite thing to serve when you have soup? Leave a comment below and tell us about your favourite soup side dish.

My mouth is watering as I type this. Seriously. It is probably the best thing I have ever done to a beef roast. EVER. When you need something hearty to eat but want to capture that feeling of summer too? These Barbecue Beef Sandwiches are the recipe for you. Winter eats for the summer person. Especially when served with some Autumn Slaw on the side.

Turkey Cutlet Sandwich

Turkey Cutlet Sandwich

With Fire-Roasted Tomato Salsa

Posted on October 21, 2013

Okay this was absolutely delicious. I have an obsession with sourdough bread. Like OB-SEH-SHUN! I actually had to cut the recipe down a little. There were only two of us eating that night, so I sliced the bread and toasted it, then melted the cheese onto it. Followed by the leftover turkey that has been grilled to reheat. The Fire-Roasted Tomato Salsa was gloriously garlic-y. Like it was intense, even after brushing our teeth.

How did you handle your leftovers from Thanksgiving? Leave a comment and let us know what you did with what was left after your big meal. Was it different, like this? Or was it just microwaved with the fixings?

Thai Chili Burgers

Thai Chili Burgers

With Caramelized Onions And Cheese

Posted on October 09, 2013
I'm not giving up on summer! In something that will not be my last hurrah for the season I made some incredible hamburgers for the family. Everyone enjoyed my Thai Chili Burgers with Caramelized Onions and Cheese. They are tasty and moist, thanks to a few tricks that I have learned from listening to Ted Reader. These burgers are huge and beefy with a nice finishing heat thanks to the thai chili sauce. Hidden inside the Thai Chili Burgers are chunks of roasted garlic, caramelized onions and melted cheese! Served with all of the fixin's, this burger satisfied our hunger in a big way.

Sultana’s Bacon Cheeseburgers

Sultana’s Bacon Cheeseburgers

With Old Cheddar, Monterey Jack & Havarti

Posted on September 18, 2013

Happy International Cheeseburger Day everyone!

To celebrate, how about making you and yours some fabulously cheesy cheeseburgers with three types of cheese, bacon and more bacon? Oh and a cheese bun! …Does that make it four kinds of cheese? Yeah. I took the rules and threw them on the porch last night, like Fred Flintstone putting out the sabre tooth tiger (very unceremoniously). These burgers are juicy and huge and delicious and GINORMOUS. But with the size of the buns they make at the bakery now, you have to make a huge burger.

Super Stuffed Burgers

Super Stuffed Burgers

They're Full of It

Posted on July 29, 2013
Okay so these burgers are super freezer friendly. They would make a great make-ahead meal or something you can give as a gift instead of a casserole. They are super delicious and full of flavour, easy to make variations of if you’re doing a theme, and just all around handy to have.  I’m actually craving one right now as I type this!

Great Canadian Moose Burgers

Great Canadian Moose Burgers

Wth Ykon Jack Glaze

Posted on June 24, 2013
These burgers were great! They're incredibly satisfying, and the sweet of the Glaze melded well with the moose meat. You don't want to use a lean pork to do this. When you get your meat, make sure to get just regular pork, not lean or extra lean. You need the fat content to add flavour and juiciness to the end product. Sausage will do in a pinch, but don't get anything flavoured, like mild Italian.

Pork 'n' Goat Cheese Burgers

These burgers are a delicious way to spend a meal. Everyone who tries them will be quite pleased. I recommend serving them with kettle style potato chips or you could go with some potato salad.

Chicken Sliders

With Garlic Fries

I had just finished the photos for this when my phone rang, so I didn’t get to take a bite of these little gems until much later. Let me tell you, the flavour explosion was just incredible! I let out the loudest “MHHHHH”, and my tongue got all tingly, I think my eyes even rolled back! I am usually a ketchup and other traditional condiments kinda gal, but the feta was creamy and the tomatoes, I let them marinate a little with some salt and pepper, was soooooo nice.

I know it’s not really a recipe, but these were really good. I love to use leftovers in different ways. And anything to stave off monotony is a good thing right?
