Chicken Breasts

Fantastic meal. Was actually pretty light, but I didn’t feel hungry an hour later like with many other “light” meals. I served mine with some crunchy herbed potatoes, but just about everything goes with this chicken dinner.

Double the Flavour with the Grill

To be honest, I could have left the wrappers, they were a little flaccid.  Nowhere on the package, or in the recipes I was researching to get to this point did it say to fry them. It was at the suggestion of the same friend who brought the wraps that I did. Soooo if you’re not into the wrap thing, not to worry! Toss this all together in a bowl and call it a stir fry! I will definitely try this recipe again but I think next time I will use egg roll wrappers instead.

Homemade Grilled

Homemade Grilled

Swiss Chalet

I recommend the Super Stuffed Potatoes if you can't make something akin to the fresh cut fries that we know and love. So this wasn't rotisserie chicken, although if I had had a whole chicken on hand, I would have done the rotisserie thing, but we didn't want to wait that long. So I used the sear and grill roast method which came out beautifully. And yes we all totally went there. If you're a Chalet fan, the chicken, fries, buns and anything else you get there is just a carrier for that amazing Chalet Sauce. We had leftover sauce, emphasis on HAD.

Best Dry Wings Ever!

Seriously this was a delicious recipe. I cannot believe I nailed it right off the bat like I did, and the best part was that without the deep frying, they were lightened up a little too. You don’t need a sauce to go with these wings. Just someone to enjoy them with.

Christmas Goose

Christmas Goose

Your Goose Is Grilled

Posted on December 23, 2012

Try serving this meal with Margaret's Brussles Sprouts, I had a few non-sprout-ers trying these for the first time. They were super surprised at how good they were.

I am quite excited over the success of this goose. It was truly an experience to make this. I have the leftover organs, the goose carcass and a boatload (seriously) of goose drippings. I plan on doing something spectacular with what I have leftover. Do you have any suggestions? Leave a comment or email me with ideas for what you would use the leftover goose for.

Gourmet Grilled Chicken

Gourmet Grilled Chicken

in a Mushroom Cream Sauce

Posted on September 04, 2012

This meal was so much fun. Granny and the husband had a grand and gourmet meal. Granny had a blast helping me set up for the photos that we took. I really enjoyed showing her what I do, not just telling her all about it. Try gourmet-ing up your favourite go to meals. Tell me how it goes.

But here is the Crock Pot version. Fantastic if you have no time and little in the way of ingredients. You can also substitute pork chops for chicken in this recipe and use all milk instead of water and milk.

Grilled Chicken Recipe

I loved this meal! We ate the chicken with broccoflour, and broccoli florets, corn and sticky-sushi rice. It is my favourite to get when we go out to any asian restaurant, and now I make it at home too. What is your favourite food that you found in a restaurant and make at home now?

Jerk Chicken

Jerk Chicken

with Shmeer Jerk Porter Sauce

Posted on August 07, 2012
Did I mention how good this was? The scent was amazing, even the cats were wandering around sniffing and asking for some! After supper we were so satisfied and content with that finish, the husband and I were seriously just sitting there and randomly “mmmmhhhhhh”-ing! SERIOUSLY! I can’t wait to try the other bottle that we got, the Chipotle Dark Ale! I think I want to do ribs or a roast with this one!

This was amazing. I am so excited to enjoy the leftovers at lunch today! I seriously threw this together out of the random things in my fridge and pantry. What amazing meals have you made out of seemingly random ingredients?

Beer Can Chicken

Beer Can Chicken

with Fire Roasted Garlic Sauce

Posted on April 03, 2012
Roasted chicken is a fantastic meal, but like other roasts, they take time. But this is not the traditional shove-it-in-the-oven and hover for twelve hours recipe! Use the Beer Can Chicken Roaster with Wok and the end result is a fantastically tender chicken in an hour or so. The Napoleon® Chicken Roaster is handy for roasting most birds but you can also use the wok attachment to cook your sides at the same time.
