Chive And Goat's Cheese Smashed Potatoes

Chive And Goat's Cheese Smashed Potatoes

Pretty Much The Best Mashed Potatoes Ever

Posted on December 16, 2014
Chive And Goat's Cheese Smashed Potatoes are super yummy. Forget adding just the right amount of sour cream and milk and cream cheese, and whatever else you love in your mashed potatoes, these ones need just a couple of ingredients to make the most perfect and creamy Smashed Potatoes ever. These were gone, like seriously gone, cartoonishly - spoon spinning in the bowl because they were eaten so fast - gone. You may want to make extra.

Roasted Acorn Squash is a simple and elegant way to prepare a vegetable side for your holiday meals. It's tasty and stylish. The bright colors compliment just about anything you serve, brightening up the meal. They're a seasonal ingredient, and should be a lot easier to find in your local grocery too.

Potato Latke

Potato Latke

Using the new Napoleon Slider Kit

Posted on December 02, 2014
I made Potato Latke using the new Napoleon Slider Kit to make the perfect sized and shaped potato pancake. They're tasty and crispy, perfect for pairing with just about anything you could imagine. We enjoyed ours with Dry Aged Wet Rubbed Steaks, but they'd be equally as good with brisket, eggs, salads, well just about anything that potatoes go with! You can serve them with a dollop of sour cream, or apple sauce on top too.

Curried Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

Curried Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

Perfect On A Cold Day

Posted on November 25, 2014
What a perfect day for soup. It was the first snowfall (that stuck) for the season, and to celebrate I made Curried Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. Okay so it was more for the purpose of warming our fingers and toes. It did, however, provide a lovely backdrop for the meal, and the photographs. I was inspired by how much I enjoyed the Creamy Butternut Squash Pasta and wanted to create a warming winter soup using similar ingredients and techniques.

Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole

With Bacon And Sharp Cheddar

Posted on October 09, 2014

Believe it or not, I've never done a Green Bean Casserole. It's just a thing. I always bring something like homemade buns or dessert to any potluck event, unless I am doing the main dish, and someone else always shows up with something au gratin. So if you want a great tasting, creamy, cheesy, vegetable dish for your next potluck, or something amazing to serve at Thanksgiving, try this Green Bean Casserole. I mean it. Right now. Hop to it people!

Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts

On The Grill

Posted on October 08, 2014

I've said it before and I will say it again. If you don't like brusseles sprouts, you're cookin' 'em wrong. These Maple Sriracha Glazed Brussels Sprouts are ridiculous. They're kind of sticky, sort of sweet, a little bit spicy, and loads of good. They are super easy to prep and have on the table.

Posted on October 08, 2014

I've seen sweet potato casserole on many thanksgiving tables, but I wanted to make myself and my guests feel special by making my own Individual Sweet Potato Casserole. I seasoned them unexpectedly with cinnamon and chili powder to give them something extra special.

Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad

With Cranberries & Pecans

Posted on May 28, 2014
Broccoli Salad With Cranberries & Pecans is a fantastic, bright and tasty salad that packs a super punch. It’s creamy, tangy, spicy, crunchy. There’s nothing this salad doesn’t do. Well maybe it doesn’t dance, but you will when you taste it. I needed something different for lunch one day to go with some boring old leftovers. I chucked this salad together and what a pop! Completely took the ho-hum lunch I had and turned it into something fresh and delicious.

Maple Mustard Pork Chops

Maple Mustard Pork Chops

With Crazy Good Potatoes

Posted on May 22, 2014
Recently I had some plain and boring old pork chops pulled out for dinner. I wasn't feeling overly inspired and I was fully prepared to go and buy something like McDonald's instead. (I can hear you gasping from here!) But I opened the fridge and rummaged around until inspiration literally fell onto my foot. My fridge door, like yours, is full of sauces and dressings and crammed way too tight. Well the mustard and maple syrup just happened to be knocked as I opened the door and they landed on my foot. So as I hopped around, tears staining my face from pain, I was inspired. Maple Mustard Pork Chops, add some shallot and a little bit of broth to give it some substance, and serve it with Crazy Good Potatoes; we have a meal!
